Salad with Pickled Beets, Goat Cheese, and Pecans

A favorite salad of my sister's. It is beautiful on its own or as a first course or side dish. We enjoyed it with butternut squash soup one fall evening. 



spinach or other greens
roasted pickled beets, sliced (or just roasted)
goat cheese in blobs
pecans-- could toast them
oil and vinegar
salt and pepper
